Pro-tips: Choose brands that you know of as some are toxic and turn the vessel black. Also stick with more neutral scented candles like clean linen, sea salt and amber noir, to name a few. How often do you bring a dish to only forget that dish and never see it again? My advice is to keep a few extra platters on hand for this reason. Keep the design simple, white is always best, and your hosts will appreciate the gesture!
